Tutors are needed for adults seeking basic education skills, GED preparation, or English as a Second Language. The Dominican Learning Center will hold its next tutor training workshop on Saturday, September 19th. Due to the pandemic, this training will be held on Zoom from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Volunteers need to be be at least 18 years of age. Volunteers also should hold a high school diploma. Materials needed for tutoring are free to tutors.

The Season of Creation began September 1st and continues until October 4th. It is a time to be stewards of creation. It begins with World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation (September 1st)
and ends with the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi (October 4th).

It is a time to evaluate and reaffirm efforts to be stewards of creation. It is also a time to give thanks for creation as well as continue to work to protect creation.
