Shepherd’s Corner is an ecological ministry supported by the Dominican Sisters of Peace. This 160 acre natural oasis is located at 987 N. Waggoner road in Blacklick Ohio on a property that has been owned by the sisters since the 1960s. Its diverse range of habitats offers a haven for wildlife and native flora. It is also a place of peace, natural beauty, and spiritual refreshment for harried humans.

Shepherd’s Corner offers environmental education programs for youth and adults, donates produce to local food pantries, and provides opportunities to walk its mediation trail and outdoor labyrinth. The Notre Dame AmeriCorps volunteer is involved in in all aspects of Shepherd’s Corner‘s ministry. This includes: participation in environmental educational programs offered to children and youth, programs for adults including ELL classes and other Earth centered opportunities, care of the animals (sheep, llama, and chickens), seasonal gardening work, working with adult and youth volunteers, outside work with the land manager, as well as assisting with special events.
