Art Auction FAQs

1. What are the dates of the auction?

The auction will begin mid-morning on September 9th and concludes on September 24th at 2:00 pm at our 30th Anniversary Celebration/Shepherds Fest. You can find more about the day here. This art auction is part of celebrating thirty years of Shepherd’s Corner Ecology Center.

 

2. I found some work I love. Now How do I bid?

We tried to make it as simple as we could! Everything is on this SurveyMonkey page.

1:Follow this link or scan the QR code below to access the auction. 
2: Choose the art piece(s) you want to bid on. Follow the link at each item for more information: including an artist’s description of the work and additional pictures.
3: In the blank below the art you would like to bid, enter the amount you would like to bid. Please use a dollar sign. Decimals are not needed.
4: Be sure to answer the required questions. These include your name and contact information.
5: The submit button is at the bottom of the page. If there are required questions that you did not answer or answers that need to be corrected, the form will let you know.
6: Check back periodically during the auction to see if your bid is the highest. You can email us to find out if your bid is the highest!

 

3. If I win an item, how do I pay?

If you are the highest bidder we will reach out to you when the auction closes. We will send you a secure link for payment. You can pay for your art with a check if you prefer.

 

4. If I win an auction when can I pick up the art?

Art can be picked up at an arranged time after you have paid. If you are present at our 30th Anniversary Celebration on September 24th, you can pick up the art at that time. Generally, our office hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. We will do our best to be accommodating if other times are needed.

 

5. When and how often will the highest bid be reflected?

The highest bid amounts will be shown above the image of the piece, next to the title. Updates to reflect the current high bid each weekday, Monday – Friday, by 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. We will update the highest bid more frequently if we are able.

 

6. Can I see the art in person before placing my bid(s)?

Of course, you can! Tuesday the 13th & 20th, Wednesday the 21st, and Friday the 16th you can make an appointment to view the works of art. The days above visits can be between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.

Additionally, on Saturday, September the 17th, between 9:00 am & noon, you can come to see the works in person. Please request an appointment by Friday, September 16th at Noon if you wish to see the art. We ask that you give us a call at 614-866-4302 or send an email if you would like to come and see the art pieces in the auction during any of the above-listed days and times.

 

7. What artists have donated works for this auction?

Featuring artwork from Tony Mendoza, John Mascazine, Gracie Morbitzer, Sr. Anne Lythgoe OP, Katie Butler, Kathi Machle, Br. Paul Quenon O.C.S.D, Patti Abel, Anna Austin, Jamie Bourgeois, Gail Maraman, Donna Nesbitt, Kathy Watts, Lynne Prillerman, Ken Frick, Chris Lutmerding, Brian Johnston, Merele Wilder, and Janet George.

 

8. What if I live out of the area? Will you ship items?

We will consider shipping on a per item basis. You would be responsible for any charges related to shipping, packaging, & item insurance. As this is our first auction of this kind we do not have previous experience in shipping works of art.

 

9. Help! I have more questions. What do I do?!
