Felting Program: Wet Felted Harvest Trivet
Saturday, November 9th 1:30-3:30 pm
$20 program fee
*12 participant maximum*
Learn how to transform wool and plant fibers into felt using the wet felting technique. A
simple, square shape is the guide for the fiber layout. Natural and dyed wool, flax, and cotton
fibers will be provided to decorate the surface and add texture to the felt. The finished project
can be used as a trivet for a fall harvest table or as wall hanging decor. Final project will be around 6″ x 6″.
Facilitated by: Gail Maraman
Gail became interested in wool and felt making when she began caring for a small flock of sheep at Windy Crest Farm in Granville, Ohio. Using the wool from her own sheep, she learned how to design and create many different types of felt: traditional, watercolor, needle, and Nuno. Today, her finished felt pieces include wearable art accessories and items for home decor.
