Our Animals

Donate Visit 5k About

In addition to our plentiful wildlife found here at Shepherd’s Corner we have a small herd of resident sheep and a guard llama who keeps them safe. We also have a flock of chickens.

Our animals live out their natural lives on the farm, greeting visitors over the course of their many years here at Shepherd’s Corner Ecology Center.

They also have important jobs at our ecology center:

  • Sheep provide wool and manure.
  • The llama, Maggie, protects the sheep from predators.
  • The chickens provide fresh eggs and help control insect populations.
  • All of the animals are part of education programs for students and visitors of all ages.
  • Adopt a Sheep! – Shepherd’s Corner (shepherdscorner.org)

Our Vision:

Shepherd’s Ecology Center is positioning itself to be an Earth-centered leader in the Central Ohio community: teaching environmental education, offering reflective experiences on care of creation, and renewing the land while providing healthy, naturally grown produce.

Our Mission:

Shepherd’s Corner Ecology Center invites others to join with us in experiencing the joys and responsibilities of caring for land, life, and spirit. Inspiring others to become shepherds of creation in their own corners of the world.
