Prayer & Movement: Parables
Friday, October 30th, 10:00 – 11:30 am
This is the second installment in a series of programs meant to engage in an immersive experience, discovering the language of the soul through shape and movement. Join us in a continued exploration of how we use and can use our body and everyday movement as tools for prayerful expression. You can attend this program without having attended the September program. These programs will create a bridge between the soul and movement as prayerful expression.
Following up our first meeting with continued movement exploration and gospel parables. Picking up on the ideas presented in week one, there will be a quick refresher for folks who are new, we will continue to embellish those practices while adding new ones. The final presentation of the day will be to put it all together with a gospel parable. No experience is required, just a willingness to explore movement as interpretive prayer. You’ll have a good dose of furn during this program. Be prepared to share and exchange ideas about movement and where it can take us as part of our daily journey.
Donna Doone & Roseann Seryak seek to combine their unique experience in the world of art as expression.
Registration, which is required, closes three business days prior to the program. Minimum of 5 participants. Please register by calling (614) 866-4302 or through the form below. Shepherd’s Corner Ecology Center is an outreach of The Dominican Sisters of Peace.
